This Buyer's Journey

This purchase marked the beginning of a big new chapter for my client, who had already been through a lot of change. She was navigating the process on her own and quickly realised just how competitive buying a home in Banora Point had become. After missing out on a few properties, she knew that without the right support, she’d end up stuck in a cycle of inspections, offers, and constant second-guessing. More than just finding a house, she needed confidence that her next move was the right one — not just for now, but for the future as her children grew. Many of the properties she’d seen were either too small or lacked flexibility for a family’s changing needs. And while a pool wasn’t a dealbreaker, it was high on the wish list — something she felt would help make this next chapter feel really exciting for her children, not just a transitional phase. What she really wanted was to understand the best areas to buy in Banora Point and to be across both on-market and off-market homes that might not be visible to the average buyer.

Missing out on properties had been one of the most demoralising parts of her journey so far. It takes a huge emotional investment to imagine your life in a home — and then lose it. The overwhelm of constantly searching, the uncertainty of what was a good buy, and the sheer time commitment of navigating the Banora Point property market alone had started to take a real toll. She could see what she wanted, but was beginning to realise she wasn’t likely to secure it on her own. That’s when she reached out. She knew her needs deserved to be properly represented, and that with the right support behind her, buying a home in Banora Point didn’t have to be such a hard or transactional experience — it could actually feel enjoyable and empowering.

How I helped find the perfect home

I’m fortunate to have strong, trusted relationships with many agents representing the Banora Point market, which allowed me to hit the ground running and access some great opportunities, both on and off market. I viewed quite a few properties, but this one truly stood out — ticking so many boxes for my client. I was able to negotiate a price that comfortably fit within her budget, giving her a little breathing room to settle in and personalise the home with new furniture and touches.

The location was excellent — East Banora is highly desirable, and this property offered a very generous footprint. Every room felt spacious and well thought out, especially the master bedroom. It featured a large walk-in robe, a well-sized ensuite, and direct access to the pool area, creating a resort-style living experience. The master suite was nicely separated from the children’s bedrooms, providing a true sense of sanctuary and privacy.

While securing a home with a pool within budget is often a challenge, this property’s pool was generously sized and the alfresco area offered plenty of space for entertaining and relaxing. My client could already envision how simple updates like new lighting and subtle styling could make the space uniquely hers.

With over 200 square metres of internal living space, a good-sized garage, and a thoughtful three-way family bathroom finished with neutral tones and quality fixtures, this home was a spacious, livable blank canvas — safe, comfortable, and perfectly situated in one of Banora Point’s best neighbourhoods.

“As a Conveyancer when I refer a client to a local buyers agent, I need to know that they will be thoroughly looked after by someone who is knowledgeable, dedicated and reasonably priced. Felicity MacKenzie ticks all those boxes and my referred clients have nothing but kind words to say about her. Felicity is definitely my go to when I am asked if I know a buyers agent as she is also great to work with from a conveyancer's perspective”
