What we loved about this property
Tucked into one of Mullumbimby’s best streets — quiet, tree-lined and just a flat stroll to town — this home offered an unbeatable blend of charm, character and location. The established gardens were a standout, with multiple fruit trees, veggie beds, and timber decks perfect for watching the sunset and enjoying views of Chincogan Mountain. Inside, the heritage features were truly special: an ornate brick fireplace, beautiful cornices, high ceilings, and a sun-filled open-plan living space with a spacious kitchen. Gordon Street
Charming heritage cottage with architect-designed second dwelling, pool, and prime central location
On Market
5 bed | 2 bath | 3 car
What we loved about this property
As soon as stepped through the gate of this home, I was met with warmth and character. In the yard sits a beautiful old frangipani tree and the front porch felt instantly welcoming, the kind of space where you could imagine slow mornings with a coffee or watching the world go by.
Inside, the warmth of the hardwood floors and the floor-to-ceiling timber details gave the home a real sense of history and heart. We loved the cast iron fireplace — perfect for cosy winter evenings — and how spacious and open everything felt, especially as you move through to the back of the home.
The rear deck gets beautiful sunlight and looks out over the magnesium plunge pool, which feels like such a calm, private space. There’s solar heating too, so it can be used year-round. The second dwelling really impressed me — fully approved, architect-designed, and finished with care. The bespoke kitchens in both dwellings, with stone bench-tops and quality fittings, show the level of thought that’s gone into every detail.
The location is another standout — tucked away and quiet, but still an easy, flat walk to town. It’s rare to find a place that blends heritage charm with this level of comfort and practicality. This one felt special from the moment we stepped through the gate.

What we loved about this property
There was so much to love about this home from the outset. Originally relocated from Brisbane, it had been beautifully renovated from top to bottom — a rare blend of character and modern practicality. Unlike many older homes in the area, it came with a current occupation certificate and met all the expectations of a contemporary home, giving real peace of mind when it came to compliance and maintenance.
Elevated and full of natural light, the property enjoys lovely outlooks and a sense of space and privacy, while being completely high and dry — a real advantage during future weather events. The home’s footprint offers excellent under-house storage, perfect for creative projects, hobbies, or extra gear.
Inside, we were drawn to the sun-soaked open-plan living space, the warmth of timber features, and the thoughtful layout with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It had all the charm we love in a Queenslander, but with none of the worry.

Just a short walk to Heritage Park and surrounded by leafy gardens, it offered an incredible sense of privacy and calm, all while being right near the heart of town.
